Approximately 250 soldiers from Finland and Norway are conducting training in the forests of Inari this week. The exercise, known as RYSKE, is a five-day readiness operation organized by the Jaeger Brigade. The activities associated with this operation can be observed and heard in the Kaamanen-Näätämö area, involving noise from blank ammunition and firing ranges.
The Finnish Defence Forces have noted that the exercise may also involve the use of private lands, allowing troops to move, conduct training, and set up accommodations on private property during the duration of the exercise.
