Árni Skaale, a member of the Parliament, has filed a complaint against Dennis Holm, the Minister of the Interior, concerning the allocation of 35,000 tons from the mackerel quota.
In response, the Parliamentary Affairs Committee has decided to seek an external ruling to avoid further controversy following the situation involving Ingilín D. Strøm.
Committee member Bárður á Steig Nielsen expressed his discontent, stating that the approach taken is unacceptable and undermines the Committee’s integrity.
Johnhard Klettheyggj, the Director of the Parliament Office, has subsequently submitted a report to the leadership of the Parliament. In it, Klettheyggj claims that the majority of the Parliamentary Affairs Committee lacks confidence in the Parliament’s administration regarding the discussion related to Ingilín D. Strøm.
Bjørt Samuelsen, the Speaker of the Parliament, was featured in a recent broadcast interview during which she addressed these developments.
