MFK to face Brann in crucial match at Aker Stadium in Molde
A crucial football match is set to take place in Molde, as local club MFK prepares to face their rivals, Brann. Operations manager Kai Røberg expressed confidence on Saturday morning, indicating that barring a significant change in weather forecasts, conditions will be favorable for the game scheduled to kick off at 5 PM.
He reported that snow is being removed from the pitch and conditions are looking promising, as temperatures remain above freezing, with any precipitation expected primarily as rain.
On Friday, Molde head coach Erling Moe had voiced some uncertainty regarding the pitch conditions, admitting that heavy snowfall could pose challenges. He noted that they have adequate resources to improve the situation, but difficulties arise when winter conditions attract skiers and require special treatments for the field.
On match day, Røberg welcomed a large group of Brann supporters arriving by bus to back their team in this vital contest, which marks the last home game of the season at Aker Stadium. A crowd of around 2,500 fans from Bergen is anticipated, with Brann in need of a win and a loss from Bodø/Glimt to secure their first league title since 2007. However, Røberg dismissed the prospect of Brann earning points in this match, stating confidently, “They may win the championship, but they won’t be gaining any points against Molde.”
Football fans are encouraged to follow the action closely as the match unfolds.
