A significant number of young individuals are leaving the country for educational opportunities after completing secondary school. However, it’s crucial to remember those who are pursuing vocational training, as many of them tend to stay in the Faroe Islands.

This observation was made by Rannvá Holm Poulsen, a study advisor at the Glasi educational institution, during a discussion in Breddanum earlier today.

The majority of students engaged in vocational training have agreements in place within the Faroe Islands, and most of them are young men.

The importance of vocational education and its impact on the local workforce was highlighted further by participants in the discussion, including Bjørg Brynhildardóttir Egholm, Bjørt Sámalsdóttir, Eyð á Reynatúgvu, and Jóhanna Súnadóttir Petersen.
