Pendolino train collides with fallen tree in Karhejärvi, Finland

A Pendolino train traveling from Helsinki to Vaasa collided with a fallen tree on the tracks shortly after eleven at night in Karhejärvi, Pirkanmaa. Authorities report that there was no danger to the passengers onboard. However, the impact caused damage to both of the train’s pantographs, as well as significant harm to the overhead electrical system. As a result, train services between Tampere and Parkano are currently suspended.
