Per Engström, a spokesperson for the military, indicated that the vessel is under observation but could not clarify why it has remained stationary for some time. He stated, “There is currently no way to detain the ship. Any such action would need to be a mutual agreement with the captain and the company.”

Sweden is collaborating with several other nations in the Baltic Sea region. Plans are underway to establish a joint investigation team regarding the situation.
