In the early months of the year, Helsinki recorded a net population increase of approximately 600 people compared to the same period last year, according to preliminary statistics. Fewer individuals moved away from the city this year than in the previous year.

Many people relocate to the capital for job opportunities or other reasons. However, some later express that their experience in Helsinki did not meet their expectations, leading to what some refer to as a sense of “Helsinki hatred.”
