International military exercise Freezing Winds 24 begins in southern Finland and the Baltic Sea

An international military exercise named Freezing Winds 24 has commenced in southern Finland and the northern Baltic Sea. This operation, led by the Finnish Navy, includes participation from allied forces such as the United States, France, and nearly all countries bordering the Baltic Sea, including Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
The focus of the coastal troops will be on the area between Helsinki and Kotka, with additional units conducting exercises near Kymenlaakso airport. Running until next Friday, the exercise aims to enhance the capabilities for executing international maritime operations along Finland’s coastline while adapting to the specific conditions of the Baltic Sea.
