Serious traffic accident involving six individuals reported on Biskupstungnabraut near Þrastarlund in Iceland

A serious traffic accident occurred on Biskupstungnabraut, northeast of Þrastarlund, shortly before eight o’clock. The incident involved a collision between two vehicles coming from opposite directions, resulting in injuries to multiple passengers, as reported by local authorities.

In response to the situation, a helicopter from the Coast Guard was dispatched at the request of the police. Emergency medical teams, along with local fire services, were also mobilized to the scene.

According to the latest report, six individuals were involved in the accident. Three of them were transferred via helicopter to healthcare facilities in Reykjavik, while the remaining three were transported by ambulance. Law enforcement has stated that further information will not be provided at this time.
