Firefighters battle blaze at poultry farm in Nesbú, Vatnsleysuström

Firefighters in Vogar worked through the night to contain a blaze at a large poultry farm located in Nesbú, Vatnsleysuström. The fire engulfed one of the facility’s four buildings, resulting in significant damage. Tragically, approximately 6,000 birds lost their lives in the incident. Local law enforcement is currently investigating the cause of the fire.

Despite the efforts of the Suðurnes fire department, the structure has been rendered completely unusable as a result of the flames.
