Finnish peacekeepers face gunfire during patrol in southern Lebanon

Finnish peacekeepers in southern Lebanon faced gunfire today during a routine patrol. Fortunately, none of the peacekeepers were injured in the incident.

During the mission, which involved five armored vehicles in the area of Ma’Rakah, several shots were fired at the convoy using small arms. As a result, the rear window of one of the armored vehicles was shattered. At the time of the shooting, the peacekeepers were inside their armored vehicles and wearing protective gear.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and further updates on the situation will be provided as they become available.
