New record set for November temperatures in Iceland reaching 23.8 degrees Celsius at Kvísker

A new record for November temperatures was set today in Iceland, with the highest reading reaching 23.8 degrees Celsius at Kvísker in Öræfi around noon. This surpasses the previous record of 23.2 degrees, which was recorded at Dalatanga in 1999. A meteorologist from the Icelandic Meteorological Office noted that while the measurement from Kvísker still needs official verification, there are no indications suggesting that it is inaccurate.
