Authorities investigate suspicious fire on Hatanpäänkadulla in Central Finland

Authorities are investigating a fire that erupted on Hatanpäänkadulla on Tuesday night, suspecting foul play. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported from the incident. The blaze broke out in a storage area situated between two sections of an apartment building.

On Thursday, investigators returned to the scene, utilizing a fire dog to assist in their examination. While the exact cause of the fire has not been determined, officials have ruled out the possibility that it was accidental. The investigation is ongoing, according to the lead investigator from the Central Finland police.

This investigation falls on the heels of another fire that occurred in late October on Polvikatu in Jussinkylä, which is also suspected to be intentional. No injuries were reported in that incident, which involved a blaze in the basement of a wooden multi-family building.
