Water services have been restored on Flateyri, but residents are still required to boil their water before consumption. Late yesterday, water flow was reestablished on the island. Although the water supply is operational, safety measures are necessary due to a landslide that occurred two days ago, which allowed contaminants to enter the system. Local authorities are currently engaged in the process of decontaminating the water supply and will provide updates on the situation later today.
