Parliament to vote on supplemental budget for Fámjinsbergholið in Faroe Islands

Today, the parliament will vote on a supplemental budget for September and consider increasing funding for Fámjinsbergholið.

The Financial Committee has reached a consensus to support the proposal from Dennis Holm, the Minister of Finance, to allocate an additional 33 million krónur for Fámjinsbergholið.

This supplemental budget will be 8.1 million krónur less than what was originally proposed by the Ministry of Finance.

After adjustments from the Financial Committee, the updated proposal now stands at 75.4 million krónur, down from the previous figure of 83.5 million krónur.

The parliamentary session is scheduled to commence at 11:00 AM.
