New city council majority in Tórshavn signs committee assignment agreement

The newly formed city council majority signed an agreement yesterday regarding committee assignments within the Tórshavn City Council.

Anja Weyhe leads the Urban Planning and Construction Committee.

Bergur Dam Jensen, also from Kollafjord, serves as a member of the majority group and is the chair of the Technical Committee. Anja Weyhe is also involved in this committee.

Heðin Mortensen serves as the head of both the Harbor and Business Committees, representing the Tórshavn Municipality on the board of SEV.

Kristianna Winther Poulsen chairs the Nature and Environment Committee, as well as the Health and Elderly Affairs Committee, which also addresses issues of integration.

Heidi Lava Elgeirsdóttir is at the helm of the Education Committee.

Annita á Fríðriksmørk leads the Welfare Committee, which oversees the meal program for daycares, in addition to her role with the District Heating Company.

As mayor, Elsa Berg is automatically the chair of the Finance Committee.
