Fishing boat runs aground south of Norðdepil with three crew members on board

Last night just before 3:30 AM, a small fishing boat ran aground south of Norðdepil.

The vessel had been out at sea for fishing activities, carrying three crew members at the time of the incident. Fortunately, none of the men sustained any injuries.

Both Brimil and Ziska were dispatched to provide assistance. However, before they could reach the location, the boat floated free about two hours later due to rising tides and made its way on its own to Hvannasund.

Upon arrival, it was confirmed that the boat had not sustained any damage.
