Ähtäri Zoo and Hotel Mesikämmen undergo corporate restructuring after Ostrobothnia District Court decision
Ähtäri Zoo and Hotel Mesikämmen are set to undergo corporate restructuring, following a decision made by the Ostrobothnia District Court last Thursday. The review of Ähtäri’s applications was expedited significantly compared to the usual timeline. Typically, processing a corporate restructuring request can take several months to a year, but in this case, things moved swiftly.
The Mayor of Ähtäri, Perttu Sonninen, expressed uncertainty about how the city managed to achieve such a rapid process. The companies submitted their requests for restructuring in early November. Creditors are required to submit their claims in writing to the restructuring administrator by November 26. The administrator will present the first set of necessary actions by December 7.
A proposal for a restructuring program will be filed with the court by May 5 of next year. In addition, the city council of Ähtäri will discuss matters related to the corporate restructuring at its meeting scheduled for next Monday.
