Military truck overturns in Ivalo, Lapland, injuring four soldiers

According to preliminary information from local authorities, a military truck in Ivalo, Lapland, overturned due to carrying too many soldiers, totaling 23 personnel. The incident occurred this morning during a training exercise when a tracked vehicle from the Lapland Border Guard’s Jaeger Company veered off the road and rolled over. Four soldiers were reported to have sustained serious injuries. The police are currently investigating the vehicle’s loading practices. At this stage, the accident is being examined under the provisions addressing endangerment of road safety and service-related offenses.
