A man who was brutally attacked with a sharp weapon in Hyvinkää at the end of September has succumbed to his injuries, according to local police. The East Uusimaa Police Department is investigating the attempted murder incident that occurred in the Paavola neighborhood, where the victim was assaulted in public.

The 22-year-old received life-threatening injuries to his upper body due to the attack, and his condition remained critical throughout his hospitalization, preventing him from being interrogated during the preliminary investigation. Investigators also discovered that the victim and the accused were previously acquainted. The 17-year-old suspect continues to be held in custody as the inquiry unfolds. For the moment, police have not disclosed any further information about the ongoing investigation.
