The conversation surrounding the adverse effects of fragrances has gained momentum in recent years. Campaigns promoting fragrance-free environments are encouraging individuals to rethink their use of scents and to consider others’ experiences. Some schools have even adopted fragrance-free policies.

Despite this growing concern, there seems to be an increasing enthusiasm for various scented products. For many, perfumes, lotions, and hairsprays are integral to their beauty routines. This raises questions: Have you cut back or entirely eliminated your use of fragrances due to public discourse? Do you wish to use perfumes but are hesitant due to potential backlash? Are you aware of which types of scents or concentrations might be considered problematic?

To gather insights, we invite you to share your thoughts via a form. You can respond to all or some of the questions. Please include your name and contact information; while we won’t publish your name without your permission, we cannot use anonymous responses without knowing who provided them. What are your views on the restriction of fragrances in public spaces? Has the discourse around fragrance-free living affected your use of scented products?

Furthermore, would you like to wear fragrances more often but feel too self-conscious? We are interested in your reasoning. Do you believe that all scented products should be avoided, or do you think a small amount is acceptable?
