Actor Bent Mejding passes away at 87 in Denmark

Actor Bent Mejding has passed away. His wife, Susse Wold, shared the news on social media, revealing that he succumbed to a severe case of pneumonia. In her heartfelt message, she expressed her profound grief and tears, while also conveying her deep gratitude for the 53 years they spent together as life partners, lovers, collaborators, and protectors. She emphasized the unconditional love he provided every single day.

Mejding was 87 years old at the time of his passing. He gained significant recognition for his role in the iconic series “Matador,” where he portrayed the character Jørgen Varnæs, a lawyer and parliamentary candidate who was the younger brother of Hans Christian Varnæs. Susse Wold herself is also well-known for her role in the same series as Gitte Grå.
