Population grows in Fugloy as municipality offers lowest tax rate in Faroe Islands

In the past year, the population of Fugloy has seen an increase, coinciding with the municipality boasting the lowest tax rate in the country, set at 16 percent. Additionally, families benefit from a child deduction amounting to 10,000 kr.

The population has grown by five residents over the past year, bringing the total number of registered inhabitants in the municipality to 47, compared to 42 from the previous year.

Amalia í Frammistovu currently serves as the mayor of Fugloy.
