The population of the Faroe Islands is currently experiencing slower growth. As of October 1st, the total number of residents reached 54,668, which marks an increase of 309 individuals compared to the same date last year. This represents a growth rate of 0.6%.
In the previous year, from October 1, 2022, to October 1, 2023, the population growth stood at 0.8%, with a difference of 148 people. This change is evenly divided between natural population increase and net migration.
