Yellow weather warning issued for severe winds in Iceland
A yellow weather warning has been issued for severe winds from the southwest in Iceland. This alert will take effect for Breiðafjörður beginning at 10:00 AM tomorrow, as forecasts predict strong winds or storms with gusts reaching 30 meters per second in parts of the country.
Winds at Snæfellsnes peninsula are expected to reach between 18 to 23 meters per second, which could create dangerous driving conditions for vehicles susceptible to high winds. Additional warnings will be activated at 2:00 PM for the Strandir and Northwest regions, where winds of 15 to 23 meters per second are anticipated.
The third warning is set to take effect at 7:00 PM tomorrow evening for the Westfjords. These alerts are expected to be lifted by Tuesday, with the last warnings for the Strandir and Northwest regions expiring at 3:00 PM.
