Body identified as missing person from boating accident near Mäntyluoto, Finland

At the end of September, a body was found off the coast of Porin, Finland. The Southwest Finland Police reported that the deceased has been identified as a person who went missing following a boating accident near Mäntyluoto at the end of June. The 6-meter motorboat capsized in rough waters shortly before midnight. In response to the incident, the Coast Guard and police launched an extensive search operation.
Three individuals were aboard the vessel, and two of them were successfully rescued. They spent approximately four hours in the 13-degree Celsius waters. The boat had set off from Eurajoki’s Luvial and was heading toward Uniluoto near Mäntyluoto. While the police have not provided further details on the cause of the accident, they have indicated that there is no suspicion of foul play in the case.
