North Savo District Court issues suspended sentences in Diablos MC Warkaus motorcycle club case
The North Savo District Court has issued suspended prison sentences in a case involving the motorcycle club Diablos MC Warkaus. The offenses took place from 2015 to 2023. According to the court, the Warkaus chapter of Diablos MC is part of the Bandidos MC organization, identified as a group organized for committing serious crimes.
A 24-year-old man, who served as the president of Diablos MC Warkaus, received a suspended sentence of eleven months for serious firearm offenses, firearm offenses, and drug use offenses. He was found in possession of an illegal, operational Finnish submachine gun, a compatible drum magazine, and cartridges. Additionally, he had a Lahti pistol with suitable cartridges. He admitted to possessing marijuana and amphetamines.
Another man, born in 1997, was sentenced to six months in suspended prison for drug offenses, with amphetamines and cocaine seized from the club’s premises. A third convicted individual, born in 1994, received an eight-month suspended sentence for two firearm offenses, a drug offense, and a drug use offense. He possessed an unauthorized Soviet-made Baikal rifle, altered to a pistol-like configuration, as well as an illegal single-barrel shotgun, ammunition, and various firearm parts. His drug-related sentence stemmed from two attempts to cultivate hemp and the use of marijuana obtained from other sources. The court stated that there was insufficient evidence to prove that he was a member of the Warkaus Diablos MC at the time of the offenses. The sentences are not yet legally binding.
