The Mid Party argues that the Housing Loan Fund should not be allowed to lend as much money as it currently has the legal authority to do. They have introduced a proposal to amend the law governing the Housing Loan Fund.

Earlier this year, the Parliament approved an increase in the loan limit for the Housing Loan Fund to 350 million DKK for residential construction. This decision was made on dubious grounds, according to the Mid Party.

Concerns over sustainability have been highlighted, particularly following a report from the National Audit Office regarding the Housing Loan Fund. The report pointed out serious sustainability issues within the Fund.

It is inappropriate for the Housing Loan Fund to continue its construction activities when its sustainability is highly questionable, the Mid Party states. They also suggest that a reorganization of the Housing Loan Fund should be considered.
