Proposal submitted for new municipal healthcare system in Sweden

The legislative proposal for a new municipal healthcare system has been submitted to Parliament.
The goal, according to the Ministry of Health, is to ensure that citizens have access to healthcare services of the highest quality.
This will be achieved by expanding the municipal healthcare system, allowing for a continuously growing range of health services available in residents’ communities.
Emphasis will be placed on consistently strengthening patient insurance.
The proposal has undergone consultations with 70 stakeholders, with 20 responses received.
The Ministry of Health will provide feedback to them regarding the legislative proposal.
