Fire erupts in spectator booth of Turkuhalli ice hockey arena in Finland

A threatening fire broke out in the spectator booth of the Turkuhalli, a well-known ice hockey arena in Turku, Finland, earlier today. The fire department received an alert about a large building fire on Artukaistentie in Turku around 11:30 am, prompting an initial dispatch of 22 fire department units to the scene.

According to the fire department, one person was exposed to smoke during the initial firefighting efforts. The source of the fire was a refrigerator in the spectator booth. The fire was quickly extinguished, and smoke ventilation is still underway. Most units returned to the fire department almost immediately after the alert.
