Finnish Parliament rejects Hungary’s compromise on child sexual violence prevention

The Finnish Parliament’s Administration Committee has announced its opposition to Hungary’s compromise proposal aimed at preventing and combating sexual violence against children, which is being advanced during its EU presidency. The committee has finalized its statement regarding the proposed CSAM regulation aimed at addressing child sexual abuse material. In its press release, the committee indicated that, contrary to the government’s position, it does not support the acceptance of the compromise proposal put forth by the EU presidency, particularly concerning the provisions related to identification requirements within the regulation.
