Traffic trends show mixed results for Faroe Islands tunnels in October

In October, the number of vehicles using the Sandoy Tunnel declined by approximately 1,000, averaging 984 vehicles per day. This marks a decrease from September, when the average daily traffic was 1,085 vehicles.
In contrast, the Eysturoy Tunnel saw an increase in usage, with 6,347 vehicles recorded. This represents an uptick from the average of 5,881 vehicles in October of the previous year.
The Norðoy Tunnel also experienced a rise in traffic, accommodating 4,414 vehicles this October, compared to 4,165 vehicles in October of last year.
Similarly, the Vágatunnel noted an increase in vehicle numbers as well. It registered a daily average of 2,997 vehicles in October, a slight rise from 2,901 vehicles recorded in the same month last year.
