Rantanen resumes interior minister role earlier than expected in Finland

Mari Rantanen of the Finns Party will return to her role as Minister of the Interior earlier than expected, according to a statement from the party’s parliamentary group. She will resume her duties on November 8.

Originally, Rantanen was set to be temporarily absent from her ministerial responsibilities until the end of the year. “My daughter, who has been seriously ill, has recovered more quickly than anticipated,” Rantanen stated.

Lulu Ranne, who stepped in for Rantanen, will continue her work as the Minister of Transport and Communications.
