Budget adjustments lead to reduced funding for shipbuilding projects in Denmark

The reimbursement for shipbuilding amounts to 1.5 million kroner less than the assessment made in connection with the supplementary budget request submitted in September.

A request was made for 17.8 million kroner, but only 16.3 million kroner is needed.

The budget already includes 5.2 million kroner.

The entire allocation for this year has already been utilized for four projects.

The largest project is the freezing trawler from P/f Hvanngarður, which has requested 12.8 million kroner in reimbursement.

Additionally, Health Insurance projections earlier this year indicated expenses would be 5 million kroner less than allocated funds. A new assessment now estimates that the allocation could decrease by another 4 million kroner.

According to a proposed amendment from the Ministry of Finance, the budget will thus be reduced by a total of 9 million kroner.

Earlier this year, there was a significant increase in medication consumption, with expectations that this trend would continue throughout the year. Moreover, overseas patient treatment costs are now projected to be one million kroner less than estimated in September.

A request will now be made for an additional 4 million kroner.

Furthermore, the allocation for the National Hospital for transport and maintenance could be reduced by 1.6 million kroner down to a total of 1 million kroner.
