Lightning Strike 24 exercise begins in Finland with participation from multiple NATO countries
The Lightning Strike 24 exercise begins today, marking a significant military event in Europe. This exercise is part of a larger operation led by the United States, which spans five countries and represents NATO’s largest artillery exercise in its history.
Taking place in the Rovajärvi and Rovaniemi areas of Finland, the Lightning Strike 24 exercise will run until November 28. It features a total of 3,600 soldiers, including 1,250 international troops.
The Lightning Strike 24 is linked to NATO’s Dynamic Front 25 exercise, which will engage around 5,000 soldiers from 28 different countries across Finland, Estonia, Germany, Romania, and Poland. This extensive multinational collaboration underscores NATO’s commitment to collective defense and readiness in a changing security environment.
