Since Birita and Martin Karl Olsen opened Caféina at Mølini nearly a year and a half ago, they have experienced a significant increase in activity, particularly following the opening of the Sandoy Tunnel.
As a result, they have initiated substantial expansions, which will take place in several phases as resources allow. “In addition to the café, we have had 12 rooms available for guests since the summer of 2021,” Martin Karl stated. He emphasized that the expansion aims to create not just a standard guesthouse, but also a venue suitable for various events, including conferences and gatherings for larger groups.
The plan includes adding more rooms in three stages: the first phase will add 16 rooms, followed by another 16, and finally an additional six. The construction will follow a similar approach to how the initial rooms were built.
“It is not inexpensive to undertake such a large project, so we will do as much of the work ourselves as possible,” Martin Karl Olsen said.
