Man falls into Tungufljót river near Geysir, emergency response initiated in Iceland

A serious incident occurred when a man fell into the Tungufljót river near Geysir in the afternoon. A substantial emergency response was initiated, including swift water rescue teams from local rescue services and the capital region. The Icelandic Coast Guard helicopter and ambulances from the South Iceland Health Service were also dispatched to the scene.
