Five Finnish parliament members to observe U.S. presidential elections
Five Finnish parliament members will travel to the United States to observe the presidential elections, according to a statement from the Finnish Parliament’s communications office. Pia Kauma, a member of the National Coalition Party and chair of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), will lead the delegation of election observers.
The other parliament members participating are Vilhelm Junnila from the Finns Party, Ville Kaunisto from the National Coalition Party, Mika Lintilä from the Centre Party, and Ville Skinnari from the Social Democratic Party. Kaunisto, who also chairs the Finnish OSCE delegation, will be monitoring the elections in Nevada alongside Lintilä, while Junnila will observe in Michigan. Kauma will be in Washington D.C., and Skinnari will cover the elections in California.
The U.S. presidential elections will take place on Tuesday, November 5.
