Lauri Markkanen appointed as physical activity ambassador for children’s program in Finland
NBA star and basketball player Lauri Markkanen has been appointed as a physical activity ambassador for the children’s program Pikku Kakkonen, according to Yle’s communications. This Sunday, a new series titled “Laurin Pallovinkit” will premiere on Yle Areena, featuring Markkanen as he shares valuable ball-handling tips suitable for kids of all ages.
“I consider children’s physical activity to be extremely important. Pikku Kakkonen was a vital part of my childhood, and now it plays a role in my own children’s lives as well. I grew up in an environment that encouraged physical activity, and now it’s my turn to give back,” says Lauri Markkanen.
Promoting an active lifestyle among children is one of the key missions of Pikku Kakkonen. The initiative aims to inspire and engage young audiences in various physical activities, fostering their development and well-being.
