Support schemes not expanded for green energy transition in Faroe Islands

There will not be additional support schemes beyond the existing ones to accelerate the green energy transition. This is the stance of Eyðgunn Samuelsen, chairwoman of the Social Democratic Party group and chair of the Finance Committee.

Kári Mortensen, an energy advisor at the Environment Agency, has emphasized that the political framework must ensure that everyone can participate in the energy transition, as it can be expensive for many individuals.

Despite significant investments, Samuelsen noted that several households were able to install heat pumps last year.
