Raisa Räisänen disappeared 25 years ago in Tampere, and the Central Criminal Police is currently investigating her case as a murder. The investigation has proven challenging for authorities, with numerous theories surrounding the fate of the 16-year-old girl.

The main suspect is Virpi Butt, a known figure from the TV show *Gladiators* and a convicted felon implicated in past dismemberment murders. Although Butt’s connection to Räisänen was explored years ago, solid evidence of guilt remains absent. Reports indicate that a close acquaintance of Butt was questioned about Räisänen’s disappearance, revealing that both Räisänen and Butt had frequented the same social circles.

Witness testimonies place a woman resembling Räisänen with an older woman in areas like Koskipuisto around the time of the disappearance. This connection, however, lacks definitive proof. The police created suspect sketches based on witnesses’ descriptions, some of which were provided shortly after Räisänen’s disappearance while others came much later.

In the hours leading up to her disappearance, Räisänen was seen enjoying herself at the restaurant Casablanca, where she reportedly danced and consumed alcohol. After separating from her friends near the Sokos department store around 10 PM, her trail becomes unclear, with conflicting witness accounts surfacing over the years.

Multiple sightings from that night, including one that described a woman resembling Räisänen entering an insurance company, have emerged. Investigations have also looked into a mysterious taxicab encounter and various individuals linked to the local area during that time.

Despite ongoing investigations and a plethora of leads, Räisänen’s case remains unsolved, with law enforcement affirming that they will continue to pursue any new information that arises.
