Tjóðveldi leadership criticized over impeachment motion against Ingilín D. Strøm in the Faroe Islands

The leadership of the Republican Party (Tjóðveldi) has mishandled the issue of the impeachment motion against Ingilín D. Strøm. This was stated by Erling Eidesgaard and Liljan Veihe, members of parliament for Tjóðveldi, during a discussion earlier today.

Both representatives announced during the parliamentary debate on the impeachment issue yesterday that they would support the proposal from the opposition.

Eidesgaard and Veihe expressed that the matter should never have progressed to the point of an impeachment motion being presented to the parliament. They believe that it reflects poorly on the handling of the case by their party’s leadership.
