Liljan Weihe supports no confidence motion against Ingilín D. Strøm in the Faroe Islands
Liljan Weihe has informed Høgni Hoydal and the Republican Party that she supports the motion of no confidence against Ingilín D. Strøm, and she presumed that this message had been communicated further.
In an interview with Prime Minister Aksel V. Johannesen, the journalist reported that Weihe had expressed her intention to back the no-confidence motion several times to the Prime Minister. This led Johannesen to respond by stating that “Liljan is lying.”
The Prime Minister later clarified that this was a misunderstanding.
“I have communicated with the Prime Minister about this, and he has apologized for saying that I lied,” said Liljan Weihe.
The situation arose from a misphrased question during a broadcast by Kringvarp, which led to the confusion. The parties involved have since requested an apology for the error.
