Ingilin D. Strøm resigns as Minister of Environment in the Faroe Islands
Ingilin D. Strøm has announced her resignation as the Minister of Environment in the Faroe Islands. She made this announcement from the podium of the Parliament, just moments ago.
Strøm stated that she had confirmed that two coalition colleagues, Erling Eidesgaard and Liljan Weihe, would vote in favor of a motion for a no-confidence vote against her. As a result, she felt that Parliament no longer had confidence in her leadership.
In response to this situation, Strøm has requested the Prime Minister to relieve her of her duties as Minister of Environment.
Further details will be available in the radio news and in the upcoming program “Dagur og Vika.”
