Elderly woman injured after falling on crowded bus in Tórshavn

An 85-year-old woman was injured after boarding a city bus in Tórshavn on Monday.

“You put your life at risk when you ride the bus,” said Heri Eysturlíð, the woman’s son.

The bus, which was crowded with passengers, started moving before the woman was able to sit down. She fell and hit her back and neck against the door frame.

The elderly woman is shaken by the incident, but she has not received any communication from the municipality or the company that operates the bus services in Tórshavn.
