Deadline for candidate submissions approaches in Norway ahead of municipal elections

Today at 6 PM marks the deadline for submitting candidate lists for the upcoming municipal elections, three weeks prior to the vote.

A total of 200 representatives are to be elected to local councils in the 29 municipalities across the country.

Currently, of the 200 council members, there are 128 men and 72 women.

The municipal elections are scheduled for Tuesday, November 12.
