Three pedestrians injured in separate incidents involving drivers in Reykjavik

Today, three pedestrians were injured in separate incidents involving drivers in Reykjavik. One driver, suspected of being under the influence of drugs and alcohol, struck two pedestrians in the Hlíðar neighborhood, south of Miklubraut. According to police, the driver ran a red light at the time of the accident. Both pedestrians were taken to the emergency room for treatment, with one suffering more severe injuries than the other.

Additionally, a separate incident occurred in postal code 108, where another pedestrian was hit. This individual was also transported to the emergency department for minor injuries. The police have charged the driver involved in this second incident for failing to take appropriate measures following the traffic accident, although details on how these measures were lacking have not been disclosed.
