Finland reports record arms exports of 333 million euros in 2022 according to SaferGlobe
In 2022, Finland’s arms exports reached a record value of 333 million euros, according to a report from the think tank SaferGlobe. This figure marks the highest level recorded since the start of the statistics in 2002. Of the total arms exports, 192 million euros were categorized as military products, while civilian weapons accounted for 141 million euros. The export of military products was primarily directed towards Europe, whereas over half of the civilian arms exports were shipped to the United States, Canada, and Australia. Founded in 2010, SaferGlobe is a Finnish think tank dedicated to generating information and developing tools to promote sustainable peace and security.
