One person is in serious condition and has been airlifted to St. Olavs Hospital in Trondheim. Two others were transported by ambulance to the same facility, according to Robert Mogstad, operations manager for the Trøndelag police district, early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred in Oppdal, Trøndelag, when three individuals were riding on a six-wheeled all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that veered off a curve, resulting in them falling into a river. The ATV is registered for only two passengers and is prohibited from operating on public roads. All three injured parties were on the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Mogstad described the fall as roughly ten meters into the river, noting that the individuals remained conscious while being rescued by emergency services. Both aerial ambulances from Trondheim and Dombås were dispatched to the scene. The most seriously injured person was flown to St. Olavs Hospital, while the other two were transported by standard ambulance.

The condition of the other two individuals remains unclear. Mogstad indicated that it was too early to determine the cause of the accident. Authorities are on-site and have initiated an investigation that will continue into the morning. The police were alerted to the incident via emergency services at 2:14 AM.
