weather

A low-pressure system of 960 mb is moving slowly northward over Western Iceland, gradually weakening. The location of the low creates southerly winds across the country, while the Westfjords will experience northeast winds throughout the day. Rain or drizzle is expected today, with clearer skies at times in Northeastern Iceland. Temperatures will range from 2 to 8 degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow morning, the country will experience a transitional period between low-pressure systems, leading to generally light and variable winds, with precipitation likely in many areas. Later in the afternoon, a weather front is expected to approach from the south, increasing rainfall in the eastern part of the country.
